Value of an Education.

The article presents the author's views related to the value of education. According to her, with scholarship comes a responsibility to develop leadership and a duty to perform service. One way for you to fulfill these obligations is for you to understand the link between education and citizenry. Despite the historic link between education and citizenry, we have somehow lost sight of it. Many students see no reason to take a class in arts and humanities, history, or intercultural communication. This trend makes her realize how we have failed to inform our students of their obligations once they leave our classrooms and colleges. We have failed to persuade them that a myopic education is a mistake.
