Abstract

The attempt by the editors of I Christianity and Global Law i to understand global law using a historical perspective is commendable. It offers a full-orbed approach to fundamental questions: how to understand global law; whether global law can be based on Christian principles; whether Christianity can influence the development of global law and enrich it with its own principles. The second part of the book focuses on principles characteristic of Christianity that are or can become principles of global law, and are therefore compatible with secular law, and even support and enrich that law.
