Abstract

The article focuses on the crisis of the modern liberal state and the historical development of the state. Topics include emergence of the modern liberal state and how the modern, liberal state responded to political, social and technological changes; and historical contexts of the Neolithic Revolution, the Late Neolithic Period, the Early Modern Period, the Greek city-state and Roman republican governance to apply an anthropological/sociological frame to crisis of the modern, liberal state.
