Abstract

Therefore, neoplastic plasma cells have a higher content of ROS and minor levels of antioxidant molecules with respect to normal cells, but further activation of oxidative stress can be a successful strategy to treat MM. MM cells interaction with curcumin enhanced ROS levels, while CFZ and curcumin stimulated p53/p21 axis, and curcumin intensified CFZ proapoptotic action (Allegra et al. [3]). Graph Several biological functions are controlled by the cellular oxidation-reduction activities, and preservation of an appropriate redox homeostasis is essential for different activities such as growth, differentiation, and death.
