Abstract

The article presents an exploration and critique of the sculptures of Linda Marrinon, an Australian artist known for creating figurines out of plaster and terracotta. Despite their anatomical inaccuracies, Marrinon's works are praised for their humor and pathos, with a wry sensibility expressed through her titles and the figures' attributes. Marrinon's latest work, Woman in jumpsuit, which has been installed in the National Gallery Sculpture Garden in Canberra, also included in the article.
