Toward Team-Based Cancer Care in the United States: 6 Years Later.

The authors reflect on updates in the adoption of team-based cancer care in the U.S. as promoted by the National Cancer Institute (NCI) and the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO). Also cited are how incentives from the Affordable Care Act promoted the adoption of care coordination and teamwork in oncology, and the need to integrate the teaming principles into care delivery to further improve care.
