Abstract

The study outlines a methodological approach to assessing the impact of greenhouse gas emission limits on the innovative development of TPPs. The proposed methodological approach is based on a dynamic optimization territory-specific (with a breakdown into aggregated regions) production model of the country's energy sector. The authors present a list of the tasks that are solved in the electric power and heating module of the energy sector model. The paper also describes the results of the assessment of the impact of limits on CO<subscript>2</subscript> emissions from thermal power plants in Russia on their innovative development in the long term.
