Abstract

The article informs that "The Battle of the Vices Against the Virtues," Moral, 'tempe Charles I.' Ment by Fleay Schoenbaum's editorial foreword to this list of extant plays omitted from the foregoing Chronology because of their uncertain date and identity' indicates very careful attention to probabilities and possibilities, and it is in this vein that the author think that it's possible to suggest further clarification on this one item. "The Battle of the Vices Against the Virtues," could easily be construed, likewise, as a moral entertainment in masque form within a Caroline play.
