Abstract
- The article reports on the musical rendition of Miriam Korner and Alix Lwanga's "Li'l Shadd: A Soty of Ujima" by the Regina Sympony Orchestra (RSO) in partnership with the Saskatchewan African Canadian Heritage Museum (SACHM). Focus is given on the aim of SACHM to document the contribution of the first known person of African ancestry. Also noted is the role of the Indigenous Advisory Council in representing the needs of Indigenous people in Saskatchewan.
