Štehrovo kníhkupectvo (a nakladateľstvo) v Prešove: ponuka - reklama - cena v 30. rokoch 20. storočia na príklade Učiteľského pedagogického časopisu (I.).

The study follows on from recent research, in which we sought to present in more detail selected first textbooks in the Slovak language in the beginnings of the First Czechoslovak Republic. This article on Štehr's bookshop (and publishing house) in Prešov: offer - advertising - price.... is focused on specific book titles, textbooks, school and teaching aids offered by the bookshop. They officially reached the market once they had been approved by the Ministry of Education and Natio - nal Enlightenment. The research was carried out on the basis of preserved materials - the Teachers' Pedagogical Journal: a monthly for current issues of national education and national enlightenment. Its print ran in Prešov, except for summer holidays, namely in the Czechoslovak Graphic Union, participation association, in Prague and in Štehr's bookshop and publishing house in Prešov in the years 1933 - 1939. It was printed by the Štehr's printing house. On the basis of this, it is possible to display the journal's content page, contemporary advertising, publication prices and, in particular, profiling and a certain monopolisation of the offer, including the distribution (especially of textbooks) within the schools system (for village and town schools, and teacher training institutes) and education.
