Abstract

The article presents the discussion on red ear syndrome (RES) remaining a pathophysiologic mystery. Topics include reporting a child with isolated RES involving either or both ears and face treated successfully with indomethacin; and attempting further prevention having gabapentin, amitriptyline, and non-invasive vagus nerve stimulation.
