Abstract

Data breaches are security conflicts in which information is assessed without authorisation. Encrypting the information using legitimate languages is an efficient method for securing it from cryptanalysis. In this paper, a hybrid Telugu cryptography is proposed based on Genetic DNA algorithm by mapping it in Unicode. Confusion and diffusion are performed to strengthen the algorithm's security in four stages; pre-processing, reshape, crossover, and mutation. Finally, it is XORed with a pseudo-random chaotic logistic map as a secret keystream for its high randomness. Also, anyone who endeavours to decrypt must know the Telugu language, the mapping index, and genetic algorithm details to recognise the original data. This algorithm divulges a more substantial avalanche effect, which is outstanding than Blowfish, AES and DES. The evaluation proves it executes faster than other algorithms and has comparatively lesser encryption time with less memory overhead. Therefore it attains an average entropy of 5.83, a keyspace of 2<superscript>230</superscript>≈10<superscript>69</superscript> respectively. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
