Abstract

The article focuses on the second session of the 43rd Parliament and the first session of the 44th Parliament in Canada, parliamentary declarations made in 2021. It mentions that Métis Indigenous communities, and First Nations, faced safeguarding human rights, addressing socioeconomic disparities, and removing systemic obstacles, which are covered in this declaration. It also mentions that Canada has made a commitment to implement the U.N. Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples.
