Timothy R. Parsons (1932–2022): Building a Holistic Vision of the Marine Sciences.

Tim was well-known for going to bed early, leaving the students and Carol to continue the party on their own - until Tim appeared later in the evening wearing a long house coat, a sleeping cap, and carrying a candle straight out of Charles Dickens! Oceanography lost one of its leading lights in April 2022, with the passing of Professor Timothy (Tim) R. Parsons (OC, FRSC), in the company of his family.
