Abstract

Günter Stoffel Medizintechnik GmbH uses highly precise CNC machining and traditional craftsmanship to manufacture medical instruments. The company places great importance on precision and quality, as the instruments are used in the human body. In order to increase productivity, the company has invested in a 5-axis milling machine that is automated by a Fanuc robot. The laser measuring system LC50-Digilog from Blum is used to control the tool cutting, which can capture thousands of measurement values per second and detect changes in the tool cutting geometry. Stoffel Medizintechnik relies on the partnership with Blum and benefits from their solutions for automating the machining process. [Extracted from the article]
