Abstract

Zinc bismuthate/bismuth oxide nanocomposites have been prepared by one-step precipitation method. Zinc bismuthate/bismuth oxide nanocomposites were used as the electrode-modified materials for the benzoic acid electrochemical sensors. The electrochemical properties were analyzed by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and cyclic voltammetric (CV) method. The results show that the intensity of the CV peaks increases obviously with the increase of benzoic acid concentration and scan rate. The sensor based on the zinc bismuthate/bismuth oxide nanocomposites shows a low detection limit of 0.053 µM at a signal-to-noise ratio of 3, a wide linear range of 0.0002–2 mM, good reproducibility, and stability.
