This article is a practical guide to using the British National Formulary (BNF) and BNF for Children (BNFC) App more effectively, to support safe prescribing. It provides a brief overview of app layout and navigation. Features that support safe prescribing are then explored, focusing on drug monographs and the Interactions Checker tool; examples are used for illustration. Location of information that is particularly relevant to prescribers is highlighted. The BNF app provides prescribers with fast, convenient access to validated, current information.
