Abstract
- The article informs that the automobiles to human corneal epithelium were demonstrated by the immunofluorescent technique in the serum of a patient suffering from ulcus rodens corneae. Biopsy-tissue from the cornea of a patient with ulcus rodens corneae was obtained during lamellar keratoplasty. Normal human cornea was obtained from two subjects at autopsy as soon as possible, but no more than 8 hr, after death. The immunoglobulin class to which the antibodies belonged was determined by a three-stage technique involving subsequent incubation of corneal tissue with the serum under test, rabbit antisera directed against human IgG, IgM or IgA, and a fluorescent horse anntirabbit Ig reagent.
