Abstract

Even during years of separation Federico was present in Suhrida's heart, with his death she had lost him physically, but the memories remained just beneath the surface, provoking grief at unexpected moments. This essay is primarily an appreciation of the wonderful paper by Suhrida Yadavalli, which is more than your regular academic or clinical paper. Discussion As I noted in the beginning of this essay, I see Suhrida Yadavalli's paper as a contribution to the work of revision of model of mourning. Finally, Suhrida shows how resources such as yoga and meditation can provide the practitioner with the opportunity to confront the inevitably painful and at times, sad world, to respond creatively and perhaps with joy, celebrating its tragic beauty.
