Family Structure in the wake of Genetic and Reproductive Technologies in the Muslim World.

The second paper by Mohammad Fadel investigates the impact of modern genetic technologies in the form of DNA tests on the established Islamic regulations pertaining to paternity but also to the established rules of evidence. The first paper by this author investigates the role of religious and cultural norms in the implementation of genetic and reproductive technologies within the context of Qatar. Earlier versions of these papers were presented at an international conference that was held at Georgetown University in Qatar on the theme of this special issue in Fall 2018.
