Abstract

The paper considers the issue of designing high-strength concrete for producing concrete blocks for Lego-technologies. Lego-technology is the development of groove-and-cog systems of positioning and connecting small-piece wall elements. The possibility of obtaining hollow-core thin-walled Lego-blocks on the basis of self-compacting high-strength fine-aggregate concretes with various types of high-porous filling has been considered. The paper suggests compositions of high-strength concrete mixes for manufacturing Lego-blocks frames. The special attention at designing was paid to improving producibility of their manufacturing and the maximum efficiency of clinker component usage. Due to the difficulty of using conventional fiber reinforcement in this concept, the application of specially designed admixtures, micro-reinforcing the composition at cement stone level, was suggested, which has increased the compressive strength up to 20...25%.
