Abstract
- The article focuses on study conducted to investigate the influence of maternal level of TSH, free triiodothyronine (FT3) and free thyroxine (FT4) on incidence of gestational hypertension and preeclampsia. Topics discussed include role of thyroid hormones in the regulation of the cardiovascular system of pregnant women; methodologies used in study pregnant women hospitalized at the University Clinic of Obstetrics and Gynecology; and relationship between smoking and thyroid function.
