CRISPR/Cas: History and Perspectives.

Discovery of the CRISPR/Cas system revolutionized biology and biomedicine in the 21st century. Here we discuss the milestones in the development of CRISPR/Cas genome editing technology, from the history of discovery to current developments, including medical applications.
