Abstract
- The Arctic zone of the Russian Federation is notable for it's inaccessibility, the absence of a year-round ground transport system, the absolute dependence of life support facilities, living conditions and the population on the Northern delivery. In these conditions, it is extremely important to use local, cost-effective, environmentally friendly materials for the construction of structures for various purposes and road construction. We investigate a deformation of reinforced ice and offered a model for assessing the bearing capacity of fresh ice reinforced with various composites. A model is proposed that takes into account the degree of influence of fillers in the process of bending resistance. The optimal values for satisfactory agreement with the experimental data have been determined. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
