Abstract

The article attempts to access the reliability of size in children's drawings. 1316 children in grades 4, 5 and 6 of the various public schools were asked to draw a person. After this, they were asked to draw a second person opposite in sex to the person drawn first. One week later the children were asked to repeat the task under exactly the same conditions. Reliability was defined as the significantly greater degree of frequency of agreement than disagreement from first to second administration in regard to size of the figure drawn. The results indicate that sizes of children's drawings are not reliable.
