Abstract

This article focuses on Q-Sort task to assess MMPI skills. The present study considers this last concern and presents a measuring instrument designed to assess clinical psychology trainees' ability to use accurately the MMPI as a clinical tool. This is one of the many skills that students are expected to learn during their clinical training. The most relevant finding of this study was that a combination of the MMPI and the case history seemed to result in the most accurate judgments. Three MMPI profiles, and associated demographic information (age, sex, years of formal education, occupation) were chosen from a larger pool of 30 profiles.
