Abstract
- This article focuses on several Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI) profiles from adolescent medical patients. The MMPI profiles included in this study were taken from the sample of 50,000 medical outpatients at the Mayo Clinic. Patients who were seen at the Mayo Clinic primarily for psychiatric evaluation and treatment were excluded from the group. Inspection suggests that medical patients obtain higher scores on the neurotic triad, whereas their scores on the remaining clinical scales are similar to those of the other samples.
