Abstract

The purpose is to develop a minimally invasive gel system for long-term local administration of bisphosphonates, which has practical significance for clinical treatment of tumors. Here, the biohydrogel based on uniform tetraethylene glycol network carries polyethylene glycol modified doxorubicin prodrug for injection to patients, and doxorubicin reduces the long-term release of toxin and doxorubicin. The obtained nanocomposite hydrogel has rapid gel formation and good injectability, thus making the hydrogel easy to inject and then adapt to different types of tumors. The tetraethylene glycol hydrogel for promoting the optimal connection of adriamycin has the capability of controlling the release of adriamycin drugs as required, and achieves the effect of reducing adriamycin toxicity. The results show that these injectable hydrogels mediate the optimal release of therapeutic drugs, which will help to further develop smarter materials with customized structure and ideal functional alliance for clinical treatment of tumors.
