The University as an Entrepreneurial Organization.

The article focuses educational system in Russia. In the past ten years, the organizationally homogeneous Soviet system of higher education has been transformed into a heterogeneous set of educational structures, most of which have the term university in their title, a term that has taken on a polymorphous character at the present time. The institutional autonomy of educational institutions carrying out programs of higher education allows them considerable freedom in the choice of the means by which they provide for their development, but, on the other hand, owing to their diverse nature, it does not enable them to construct administrative models that are common to all kinds of educational institutions and to offer unified practical methods of operation under the new conditions.
