In Memoriam Roy W. Pickens 1939–2022.

Dr. Pickens was remarkably productive during this time with more than 32 basic research papers on drug self-administration as well as 29 reviews and book chapters. In possibly the most influential of these papers, Pickens and Thompson ([6]) systematically studied the effects of cocaine dose and schedule of reinforcement on cocaine self-administration.
