Abstract

This article deals with the construction of a psychiatric screening questionnaire with validation data obtained at a basic training center now in operation. Profiting from the efforts of other workers in this field, the test design has considered certain criteria. Some of them are The test should probe psychiatric areas as broadly as possible while still fulfilling the objectives outlined in this article. The most widely used screening tests, for various reasons, measure primarily neurotic tendencies without sufficient consideration being given to other psychiatric conditions.
