Abstract
- The mutual effects of anions in the process of salt absorption may be synergistic or antagonistic. Synergistic effects commonly appear at low concentrations and may be caused by metabolic interferences. Phosphate and sulphate act positively on the absorption of chloride even at high concentrations. Clear antagonistic effects were observed only at high concentrations of nitrate contra chloride.
