Abstract
- With the growing demand for simplifying fabrication process of advanced electromagnetic wave absorbers, Ni-(OH)<subscript>2</subscript> nanoparticles/reduced graphene oxide (RGO) composite foam (NHGF), a high-performance microwave absorber, has been proposed via a facile hydrothermal method. Besides lightweight characteristic, NHGF also possesses broadband microwave absorption capacity whose effective absorption band (EAB) can reach 7.65 GHz and the minimum reflection loss (RL<subscript>min</subscript>) is up to −54.69 dB at a thickness of 3.5 mm. Moreover, its wave absorption capability can be adjusted through altering Ni-(OH)<subscript>2</subscript> content. Some heterogeneous interface effect caused by Ni-(OH)<subscript>2</subscript> nanoparticles can significantly enhance the interfacial polarization. Ni-(OH)<subscript>2</subscript> nanoparticles can contribute to the outstanding impedance matching performance as well as electromagnetic microwave absorption performance of NHGF. Therefore, NHGF, as a broadband microwave absorbing material, is expected to be applied in some advanced electromagnetic protection as well as practical electronic engineering fields.
