Abstract
- The article presents information on the co-operation between the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations and the European Society for Rural Sociology, which allowed to publish in 1963 a special issue of the periodical "Sociologia Ruralis." The co-operation has been continued and enabled the editorial board to present another special issue. It contains the report of the First Meeting of the Working Party on Rural Sociological Problems in Europe and four of the papers presented at that meeting.
