Abstract: Brace treatment is a well-documented conservative treatment method for adolescent idiopathic scoliosis. On the other hand, previous studies reported skin problems, decreased lung capacity, and chest wall deformity as complications. This paper reports a case of spontaneous rib fracture during brace treatment for adolescent idiopathic scoliosis, a complication in a 14-year-old female who eventually underwent surgical correction.
