Diagnostic Pacing Maneuvers for Supraventricular Tachycardia Discrimination: a Taxonomic Approach.

Purpose of review: To provide a taxonomy for grouping diagnostic maneuvers during an electrophysiology study for supraventricular tachycardia into mechanistic groups. Recent findings: Although many diagnostic maneuvers have been described, most rely on a core group of electrophysiologic principles. The taxonomy presented in this review builds around those core principles. Summary: Understanding diagnostic electrophysiology maneuvers in the context of underlying core mechanism can make it easier to learn and apply the maneuvers in clinical practice.
