Abstract

A methodical approach towards the understanding of emotional responses has a rational effect on decision-making. The mathematical and logical approach for emotional understanding is purely based on scientific symbols and notations. Studies indicate that mathematics activities have a great impact on human's physiological, emotional, and cognitive are still an emerging area. Emotion recognition based on electroencephalogram (EEG) signals is a vital research area. It is being used widely in the field of mathematically based affect computation. The major limitation is that there exists less research to provide details of EEG features in a single research. Therefore, current research aims to review feature extraction methods for emotion recognition from EEG and proposes to use of mathematical based DWT based feature extraction technique of EEG based emotion recognition.
