Abstract
- In chapter 6, Miller intensifies the portrait of individuals' lives after an incarceration experience, lives that are invisible to all but those who have been incarcerated and the family members who surround them. Miller tells the complex and conflicted story of the criminal justice system through the lens of three complex, conflicted, and interconnected narratives. The reader learns of the personal experiences of Miller's research participants and of Miller's own experience. [Extracted from the article]
