Abstract
- The article argues that institutional change within the field of computer science (CS) is necessary to bring about social justice in CS and expand participation in CS. The article states that CS courses should be altered to connect it to the everyday lives of potential students, bring diverse perspectives to CS, and an understanding of the role of citizenship in CS.
