Abstract: The article focuses on Indian Psychiatric Society (IPS) had taken the lead in developing Clinical Practice Guidelines (CPGs) for psychiatrists since 2005. Topics include IPS had earlier published CPGs on Ethical and Legal issues in 2009, and the Guidelines had been well received and provided locally relevant suggestions for clinical practice.
