Abstract

This is but one of a broad and diverse array of symptoms that the milk allergy guidelines attribute to non-IgE-mediated cow's milk allergy. We acknowledge that we were unable to comment on the likely frequency of guideline-defined cow's milk allergy (CMA) symptoms in infants who are formula-fed from the outset or mixed-fed before 3 months of age. Diagnosis of non-IgE-mediated cow's milk allergy requires complete resolution of symptoms with cow's milk avoidance, followed by recurrence of symptoms with cow's milk reintroduction.
