Abstract

We agree with the conclusion of Acuna et al. that as industry payments to orthopaedic surgeons are common, continued vigilance is justified, and we strive to achieve that to maintain the integrity and quality of the AAOS CPGs and AUCs. In the study by Acuna et al. although some members of the AUC voting panel did have industry payments, it was noted to be at a lower incidence than the average for our profession.
