Biotechnology of structural modification of rhubarb biomass for obtaining enterosorbents.

Abstract
- The conditions of biotechnology for obtaining enterosorbents based on the modified rhubarb Rhéum Officinále Bail phytopreparation were substantiated. The relationship between changes in the polymer composition of rhubarb, the parameters of its pore structure and adsorption capacity to the two test molecular markers such as albumin and methylene blue, which were used as model organic toxins having protein and non-protein features, were revealed that biotechnology is one of the methods to increasing the adsorption properties of rhubarb biomass which, were realized the original way to use enzymatic catalysis for structural release of polyuronides by controlled splitting of the carbohydrate-protein complex. It was shown that absorption of organic toxins on the obtained enterosorbents may be increased by 2.5...4 times. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
