Statistics and Analysis of World Rail Transit Industry Standards in 2020.

China has become the largest emerging single market in the global rail transit industry. Standards play a strategic, supporting and leading role in the development of the rail transit industry. This article statistically analyzes the details of 558 accumulated editing standards by 22 major standard-setting organizations in the world rail transit field published in 2020. Divided into five areas of basic commonality, engineering construction, operation service and development, equipment and technology, and freight transportation, the equipment and technical standards are statistically the most numerous. Based on international and foreign experience, it is recommended the Chinese rail transit industry standards should be strengthened from five aspects of timely development of new standards, emphasis on timeliness and international interoperability, internationalization of Chinese standards, coordination of railways and urban rail, and strengthening association standards, so as to achieve the goal of a leading transportation nation in the "14th Five-Year" Development Plan.
