Beneficial effects of atrial fibrillation ablation in patients with angina pectoris and coronary sinus reducer.

Limited data exists about the effectiveness of the coronary sinus reducer (CSR) device in patients with angina pectoris and atrial fibrillation (AF). This case demonstrates beneficial effects of AF ablation in a patient with CSR. We report four major findings: Rhythm control has a relevant effect on angina pectoris symptoms in patients with coronary artery disease and AF. In these patients, AF ablation should be considered at an early stage. Patients with persistent angina pectoris and CSR may require sinus rhythm for an optimal effect of the device.
