Abstract

The article focuses on a medical case of leukaemic infiltration of the choroid. A 30-yr-old woman with acute monoblastic leukaemia (FAB M5a) in morphological and cytogenetic remission after two cycles of chemotherapy with anthracycline and cytarabine presented with visual deterioration. Ophthalmic examination on day 5 of chemotherapy showed chorioretinal scarring and reduction of retinal elevation. Unfortunately, 4 d later, she succumbed to sepsis with blasts noted in her blood film.
