Abstract

The formation, development and influence of road are interdisciplinary and complex. As a cultural symbol across time and space, road exists in all aspects of human life. "Roadology" builds a road frame research system across disciplines and provides a more inclusive and plastic method for road researchers. This paper discusses and summarizes the research value and characteristics of "roadology" through various interdisciplinary research methods of road. On the basis of the military warfare, economic development and Shanxi immigration history in the Ming and Qing dynasties, the author discusses the influence of Fukouxing on the community culture in an interdisciplinary perspective with the combination of politics, economics, anthropology and architecture.
