This is the third article in a series relating to research and dermatology nursing, and describes why critical appraisal skills are necessary for dermatology nurses. It suggests a quick critical appraisal approach that can be used -- 'read, write and reflect'. The approach advises nurses to consider PICO, types of bias, and validity.
