Abstract

The article focuses on the Academic Business Library Directors' (ABLD's) meeting was held at the Fisher College of Business on the campus of the Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio, from May 2 to 5, 2003. Meetings were held at the Pfahl Executive Conference Center, which is part of the Fisher College of Business complex. The meeting got underway with greetings from Joseph Branin, Director of Ohio State University Libraries, who welcomed the participants to campus. The May 2 program was designed to give vendors an opportunity to speak to the group about their ideas and outlook on the information industry. It was an instructional session rather than being a sales-oriented gathering, with an emphasis on industry trends which impact libraries. This segment of the meeting was in addition to the traditional two-day meeting of the ABLD. On May 3-4, the group's agenda followed the established precedent of presentations, panel discussions and a business meeting. The ABLD Group visited the OCLC Headquarters in Dublin, Ohio on Monday morning, May 5, as the final activity of the weekend.
