Abstract
- The article presents a study which analyzed fossil remains from the Guadeloupe Islands, an archipelago of six islands in the Caribbean Sea. The study discusses the islands' ecological differences pre- and post-European colonization that may have contributed to this dramatic loss of biodiversity, including the introduction of human commensal species of European origin.
